Some videos from autocross today.
*All footage taken with 5 year old potato.
Finally got a chance to attend the local autocross this weekend. I had intended to just watch, but when I got there the person who normally runs their timing equipment couldn't be there. Between me and some others we were able to figure it out. Being I was the only one not driving I volunteered to do the timing duties. That was nerve racking because people take their times seriously. But all ended up well.
The video above was the fastest of the day with a 55:018 if recall correctly. The Porsche below was the third quickest at a 55.351, but it certainly won the awesomely loud competition of the day.
And then there was my run. I brought my 240d just to deter me from entering, but I was talked into doing one run anyway.
Somehow I wasn't the slowest car. I beat what was badged as an E28 M5. I believe it was an actual one, as it was driven, quite gingerly, by an older gentleman and the car was in exquisite shape. Either way 80's German vs 80's German.
